Beverly Nell Tetherow Konings, was born June 4, 1930, to Howard Pearl and Dorothy (Jorgenson) Tetherow at Placerville, California, and departed this life on June 4, 2010, at age 80. She attended schools in Deadwood and Rapid City, South Dakota, before graduating from Alliance, Nebraska, in 1947. Beverly graduated from Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colorado, in 1952, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse in Valentine and Omaha, Nebraska, before her marriage to Daniel John Bunner in El Paso, Texas, on July 1, 1955. She then worked in El Paso, while her husband finished his military career. Later, she worked in Loveland and Fort Collins, Colorado, while her husband attended Veterinarian School at Colorado State University. After her separation from Dr. Bunner, she worked in Denver, Colorado and Casper, Wyoming, where she married Phillip John Konings on December 5, 1970. She had worked at various assisted living facilities around the Casper area, and most recently had worked for Poplar Living Center.
Beverly's parents were separated when she was an infant and both remarried. She had no sisters of half-sisters, but had four half-brothers, Tom Law, from her mother's second marriage and twins, Douglas Ray and Donald Ray, and Richard Wayne, by her father's second marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Tom Law and Donald Tetherow, and step-son Roger Konings. She is survived by her step-children, Rick (Laurel) Konings, of Goodyear, Arizona, Guy (Sharon) Cooper, and Phyllis (Glenn) Miller, both of Casper; sister-in-law, Donna Law, of Colorado; brothers, Douglas Tetherow and Richard Tetherow; several nieces, nephews, as well as step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and extended family and friends. Also surviving are her beloved dogs, Hanna and Skeeter.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2010, at Oregon Trail State Veteran's Cemetery, Evansville, Wyoming, with her ashes laid to rest with her husband, Phillip J. Konings. Memorial contributions may be given to Casper Humane Society, 849 E. 'E' Street, Casper, WY, 82601.
