Betty was born August 13, 1922 in Brewster, Nebraska to William and Mabel (Eldridge) Simon. She moved to Glenrock, Wyoming during the depression so that her father could find work at the refinery. She graduated from Glenrock High School and then the University of Wyoming with a degree in education. She taught in Casper at Pineview, University Park, Evansville and Fort Casper. She was so proud of her profession and students. The passion she had for teaching and her students is reflected by the fact that to this day her students tell her she influenced their lives.
In August she was blessed to celebrate her 90th birthday with the family and friends that she so cherished. On December 16, 2012 she passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Jack Clark and Ralph Lloyd, and her sister, Phyllis Anderson.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Burgess (Bruce), her son Bill Clark, two step children: Margaret Hickman (Martin) and Susie Houck (Curtis), brother, Eldon Simon, grandchildren Todd Schilling (Tammy), Kanda Guthmiller, and Ashley Knight (Jimmy), Sheri Byrne (Jim), and Renae Vigneri (Joe).
