Betty A. Brehmer

May 12, 1945 — August 21, 2024

Casper

Betty Arlene Brehmer, 79, passed on August 21, 2024. She was born to Bethal Johnson on May 12, 1945 in California. Bethal and Betty made their way to Scottsbluff Nebraska when she was a small child where she attended school. She enjoyed her summers swimming in the local pool. She met the love of her life, Lowell, in high school, and they were married shortly after her graduation on February 13, 1965. They had their first son Tracy in Scottsbluff, NE, until Lowell joined the Navy in 1967. From there they moved to Camp Pendleton, California where their second son, Ron, was born. Lowell then brought Betty and the boys to Wyoming to work in the oilfield in the late 1970’s when he retired from the Navy and settled in Casper. A few short years later, their third son, Laurn Scott was born in 1980. Here, Betty found a larger family within the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The welcoming congregations and faith provided her with the brothers and sisters that she missed within her childhood, and she made many lasting relationships within these halls. She enjoyed parties with her friends and family, camping and boating, swimming, and discussing football with her son Ron.

Betty is survived by sons Tracy Brehmer and Ron (Leoma) Brehmer, five grandchildren Trista Johnson, Renea Galloway, John Reyes, Jason Brehmer, Kylie Barrientez, and Caleb Brehmer, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Lowell Thomas, her mother Bethal, and daughters-in law Lindy Brehmer and Teresa Brehmer, grandson Thomas Brehmer, and youngest son, Scott Brehmer.
