Bernard LaVerne "Shorty" Andrews, 89 of Evansville went to be with his maker on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
He was born April 14, 1929, to Floyd and Dorothy Andrews in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Bernard attended Sunflower Country School near Scottsbluff. He had a beautiful marriage ceremony to his love, Mary (Benson) Andrews on November 26, 1950, after which they lived and farmed in Wheatland, Scottsbluff, Worland, and Douglas. They finally settled in Casper in 1972. Bernard worked in the oilfields through Lane Wells and Petrolog, where he later earned a 15-year service award.
Bernard helped found and build Richard Street Christian Church and the ensuing independent Christian church movement around Casper. He was an Elder and diligent church member, putting in thousands of volunteer hours.
He was also active in the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and loved being a part of the Good Sam's Camping Club. He was an avid shooter, hunter and camper. He counted woodworking as one of his hobbies, even building stocks for several of his guns and clocks.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Mary Andrews of Evansville, children: Larry Andrews (Connie) of Laramie; Darrell Andrews, Howard Andrews (Kathy), MaryLou Batalden (Jared), and Robert Andrews (NodJaha) all of Casper; daughter-in-law Laurie Andrews of Cody and his sister, Ida Mae Gross of Redding, California. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grand-children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Dorothy Andrews, oldest son, Gary Andrews and siblings, Audrey Keener, Marian Reed and Floyd Andrews.

A Memorial Service will be held at Paradise Valley Christian Church, in Casper, Wyoming on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
