Barbara Thoma Niedrich, 75, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Casper, Wyoming on May 17th, 2024. Barbara was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i on April 23rd, 1949 to David Dallas Thoma and Elizabeth Brown Thoma. She grew up in Kailua, Hawai'i, where she enjoyed the beach, warm weather and the family pets. She attended Trinidad State Junior College in Colorado, then made her home in Oceanside, California and most recently, Casper, Wyoming.
She was devoted to all animals and rescued many dogs and cats, some of whom lived with her and her family in Oceanside. She loved exercising at fitness clubs and working for the Oceanside Unified School District.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Niedrich (Casper, Wyoming); her sister, Susan Thoma Carberry, (Northglenn, Colorado); her children, Jennifer Spiller of Tehachapi, CA and David Dudley of Oceanside, CA; and six grandchildren.
As her wishes were to be returned to Hawai'i to be put with family in the Chapel of Peace at St. Clement's Episcopal Church in Honolulu, the service will be private.
