Arthur Cooper

A celebration of life for Arthur Guy Cooper will be held at Word Christian Fellowship Church, located at 1220 South Melrose Street, Casper Wyoming, Saturday, July 30th at 2:00 pm. Officiating at the service will be Pastor Dan Carlin and Associate Pastor Angela Kay Haigler.

Arthur Guy Cooper passed on July 23, 2011 at home after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma cancer.
Guy was born on April 19, 1937 to Jerome A. Cooper & Dorothy Hamilton Cooper in Denver Colorado.
After graduating from High School in Belle Plains Kansas, he honorably served four years in the United States Navy. Later while attending Casper College, he worked as a draftsman for his uncle Forest Hamilton, an architect, on the Sunrise Shopping Center. At that time, he met and married Sharon Kay Evans and was a loving father to their four children.

Guy loved a challenge. He owned and operated multiple businesses, including selling real estate & building & remodeling homes & commercial businesses. He owned The Red Barn Restaurant, & owned, rebuilt & remodeled the Wonder Bar. He also established Cooper's Pub, Cooper's LBM & others.

As co-owner of Building & Design Inc., Guy actively worked along side his sons until the time of his death.

His family & friends will remember him for his quick & funny wit, his loving heart towards people, & how much he enjoyed attending church with his family.

He is survived by his wife Sharon, his children Wendy Brown, Michael Cooper, Angela Kay Haigler (Michael), & Tony Cooper (Shawndra), his brother Dr John Konings (Laurel) & Sisters, Phyllis Miller & Jerri Lynn Townsend, grandchildren; Amy Reece ( Jay), Ciera & Tyler Cooper, Fred Haigler (Dusty), & Terri Frederick (Jade), including his eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his birth parents & step father Phil & his wife Beverly Konings & brother Roger Konings.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Wyoming Rescue Mission.
