Anne M. Klocksiem

March 12, 1938 — February 24, 2018

Eternal peace and rest have come to Anne McCleery Klocksiem. Anne peacefully passed away on February 24, 2018 surrounded by family at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper. A visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Newcomer Cremation and Funeral Chapel. A celebration of her life will be held at First Christian Church on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 11:00am, with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery at 1:30pm.

Anne was born in Denver, Colorado on March 12, 1938 to Merle and Lorna (Mulder) McCleery. Anne married G. Lynn Klocksiem on June 19, 1960 in Denver, CO.

Anne graduated from South High School in Denver in 1956 and received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1960. Anne moved to Casper in 1960 and taught third grade at Westwood Elementary School for three years prior to the birth of her son Steven Lynn. Six years later, Anne welcomed a daughter, Catherine Anne and she blessed her children by committing her time and energy to raising them.

Anne rejoined the workforce later in life when she began working at The Christmas Cottage for her dear friend, Sheila Cooper. For 29 years, she joyfully greeted customers and helped them find the perfect ornaments for family and friends. The Christmas Cottage became a great source of comfort and joy for Anne.

Anne lovingly and selflessly gave of herself to countless causes. Through the years she supported numerous organizations including Concerned Citizens, Central Wyoming Hospice and Seton House.
Anne joined First Christian Church in 1960 where she has been a faithful servant for nearly 60 years. She was active in the choir and bell choir, served on multiple commissions and as a Deacon, and championed many projects to support the health of the church. Anne has participated in many outreach efforts including, most recently, the sandwich and blanket ministries which support homeless people in Casper.
Anne was proceeded in death by her parents, Merle and Lorna McCleery; husband, G. Lynn Klocksiem; and son, Steven Lynn Klocksiem.

Surviving Anne are her daughter, Catherine (Marc) Anderson of Severna Park, MD; daughter-in-law, Karen (Ed) Heck of Bowman, ND; sister, Barbara (Julian) Copenhaver of Hendersonville, NC; brother-in-law, Neil (Sandy) Klockziem of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, Jessica Raye (Dewey) Miller of Rhame, ND; Elizabeth Anne Klocksiem of Bismarck, ND; Lon Steven Anderson and Austin Grant Anderson of Severna Park, MD; great-granddaughters, Katelyn Raye Miller and Maryann Rose Miller of Rhame, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends.
