Annabelle Marie Fales, 84, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully in her home shared with her husband Billy L. Fales on March 19, 2024. She was born January 7, 1940, to Opal and Leslie Knipprath in Belvidere, Illinois. Annabelle was one of six siblings.
Annabelle's journey led her to spend her formative years in Libby, Montana. At the age of 16, she seized an opportunity to move to Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she continued her high school education while working as a nanny. It was in Cheyenne that she met the love of her life, Billy L. Fales. The two were united in marriage on November 28, 1959, in Cheyenne.
In recent years, Annabelle was known for her charitable acts, particularly her knitting endeavors. She dedicated her time and skills to knitting hats and scarves for those in need, as well as crafting newborn hats for babies born at the Wyoming Medical Center. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she
transformed leftover yarn into warmth and comfort for countless individuals. Additionally, Annabelle delighted in giving her handmade knitted blankets as gifts, a testament to her caring nature. Her contributions were recognized by her community, including a special "Hat's Off" award from the Casper Senior Center, honoring her dedication to knitting for others.
Annabelle and Bill were active members of the dancing community in Casper, often seen dancing with friends at various venues including the Beacon Club, the VFW, and the Senior Center. Their presence was felt at social gatherings such as Rock the Block, where their friendships flourished.
Annabelle's kindness and warmth radiated wherever she went, leaving a lasting impact on those she encountered. She will be deeply missed by many. Annabelle is survived by her loving husband Bill Fales, her sons Forest Fales of Las Vegas, Nevada, Todd Fales & wife Connie Fales of Rock Springs,
Wyoming, her daughter Teresa Fales-Moon, & husband Fred Moon of Coweta, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her brother Joe Knipprath, along with several nieces and nephews.
