Ann Orndorff, 56, of Casper, died February 24, 2009 surrounded by her family and friends and the loving and caring people of the Central Wyoming Hospice Home.
She was born June 29, 1952 in Gettysburg, PA the daughter of Clarence W. and Minnie "Weaver" Turner. Mrs. Orndorff was a graduate of Biglerville High School in 1970 and a 1973 graduate of Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania . She began her teaching career at Cashtown Elementary, Cashtown, PA, before moving to Casper. She has been a dedicated elementary school teacher at Mills Elementary School for the last 25 years and dearly loved her children and teaching assoicaties. She was united in marriage to David J. Orndorff on June 22, 1974 at the Gettysburg Church of the Breathern, Gettysburg, PA. She was an active member of Bethal Baptist Church, Alpha Delta, Kappa, Gamma Chapter, teaching sorority. She was also a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Chapter.
Survivors include the love of her life, her husband of 34 years, David , a brother, Roger Turner and his wife Mary Kay of Gettysburg, PA, a sister, Elaine Coleman and her husband Larry of Gardners, PA and her mother, Minnie Turner of New Oxford, PA and her faithful dog Boomer. She was preceded in death by her father and a baby sister, Nancy Jean Turner.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 1:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Helen Schindler officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or the Central Wyoming Hospice Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Newcomer Funeral Home.
