CASPER -- A celebration of life for Angela "Angie" Noonan, 35, will be held at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. A reception in her honor will be held at 139 W. Second St. immediately following the celebration of her life. At the request of her family, casual attire and bright colors are preferred.
She was born on Sept. 11, 1972, in Denver, Colo., the daughter of Tom and Eileen Noonan.
After graduating from Kelly Walsh High School as the Vice President of the Student Body in 1990, she went to Drake University where she served on the student senate and was a member of the Honor Society. She then transferred to the University of Wyoming where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Physiology. During that time, she served several hundred hours of voluntary service for the Wyoming Medical Center Emergency Room.
In 1999, she entered the University of Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
She was passionate about many things in life. Politics caught her eye while going to the University of Wyoming. She became the campaign manager for Judy Catchpole in 1994. With Angie's efforts, Ms. Catchpole was elected as the Superintendent of Public Instruction. She was called on once again to become the Finance Director for the Wyoming Republican Party in 2005 and 2006.
She loved and cherished spending time with her parents during the few short years of her life. Hunting, fishing and camping were family affairs. No one had the desire to go as fast on a four-wheeler or a snowmobile as she did. She enjoyed the freedom of the outdoors and the peace that it brought to her.
Throughout her life, she traveled across the country seeing the sights in Hawaii, Texas, California and Washington. .
She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew.
She leaves many loved ones behind. Her parents will miss her greatly. Many aunts, uncles and cousins and dear friends will miss her more than can be imagined. Most of all she leaves behind her truest friend and her closest companion, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Casper Humane Society .
