Andy passed away at his home in Casper, after an extended illness on June 16, 2022.
He was born in Greeley, CO on Sept 23, 1970, to Sandra Casteel (Larimore), and Glen Elmo Hurd, both of Cheyenne, WY. He was also blessed to have an adoptive family, Darrell (deceased) and Lois Anderson, of Ft Collins, CO. He also had two sisters, April and Brook Anderson.
Andy spent the first several years in Ft Collins, with his family and former partner, Tina Lucero and their two children, Sara and Steven.
He moved to Casper, WY in 2002, where his first mom Sandra (first cousin to Lois Anderson), three brothers, Jim Casteel, Thomas and Matthew Larimore and stepparents Thomas and Pamela Larimore (both deceased in 2010) resided.
Andy enjoyed fishing and camping, motorcycles, music, and spending time with his family. He was also a master carpenter, building new homes, and remodeling older homes. He was also an excellent mechanic. He was a past member of the Abate Club and participated in local events. He took first place in the Motorcycle Rodeo in Glenrock, WY a few years ago. Andy's most recent motorcycle is a three-wheel Harley, which he named Frankenstein.
He was also a prolific reader of Russian and Balkan history. He also loved Stephen King books, and others of the same genre.
His love of music extended to the groups Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and many others. He also enjoyed listening to classical music at times.
Andy is survived by his wife Karissa and stepsons Seth and Damian. Also surviving are his daughter Sara Padilla (Michael) of Laramie, WY, son Steven of Ft Collins, CO. Lois Anderson, sisters April Anderson Treloar, Brook Pilkington, and their respective families. Survivors also include his father Glen Hurd (Ladonna) of Cheyenne, and his mother, Sandra and three brothers, James (Jim) Casteel, Tom and Matthew Larimore all of Casper, WY. Three nieces, Ciara Casteel of Kenya, Africa, Samantha Casteel Redding (Skeeter), their daughters Sadie, Macie, and Ripley of Casper and Amanda Casteel of Puerto Rico. A nephew, Landon Begay Casteel predeceased him in 2020.
Andy had a keen sense of humor, loved all animals and was always ready to see what new adventure was waiting just around the bend. He will be mourned and missed by many friends and family who loved him dearly.
