Andrea "Andie" Michelle Bowden, 39, of Casper, passed away Tuesday August 11, 2015 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Andie was born to the late Karl Lloyd Hoskins and Hilda Marie Segueda, on October 8, 1975, in Casper, WY. She attended Kelly Walsh High School where she was a member of the Kelly Walsh dancers and Captain of the pompon squad, graduating in 1994. She earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Western Wyoming Community College in 2006. She was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Society and graduated valedictorian, outstanding outreach student all while working full time and taking care of her family. She married her husband Gary in 1995, and they lived together in Casper and Rawlins WY with their son Hunter and daughter McKinzie.
Andie worked for Carbon County Head Start, UW Cooperative Extension Rawlins Office, and until recently was the Director of the Wyoming Family Literacy Casper Program as well as an active board member of several education and literacy organizations.
Andie enjoyed music, dance and was a huge Betty Boop fan, acquiring a vast collection of memorabilia over the years.
Andrea is survived by her husband Gary, son Hunter, and daughter McKinzie. Her mother Hilda, sisters Shayla Sindelar, Starla Brownell, Brianne (Derek) Rodrick, and brother Karl Hoskins Jr. She is also survived by her, uncle John Segueda, aunts Alicia (Tony) Holtbreg, Gracie (John) Smith, Teresa (Ken) Hart, Diana (Tom) Marcks, and grandmother Doris (Bruce) Reno, Her cousins Craig Segueda, Amy (Augustine) Sanchez, Michael Smith, Kristy (Josh) Sims, and Thomas and Anthony Holtberg. She is proceeded in death by her father Karl, grandparents Tomas and Emma Segueda, and uncles Robert and Joe Segueda and Randy Morgan. As well many Nieces and Nephews.
Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home Saturday August 22 at 10:00 with a reception to follow.
