Alfirio "Al" Martinez

Alfirio "Al" Martinez was born in Los Brazos, NM on September 19th , 1935 to Azucena and Ramon Martinez. He was the oldest of 6 children. Al moved to Monticello, Utah in 1956 where he met and married his wife, Sally On March 5th, 1965. They enjoyed 55 beautiful years together. While working for Texaco, Al and his family moved to Worland, Wyoming in 1978. Al had a long career of 25 years with Texaco and retired in 1985. Al was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting, playing softball, going bowling, ice skating and watching football and basketball. Al loved spending time with his family especially watching all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. He was a jokester whose smile will be dearly missed.

He's survived by his sons, Ramon (from a previous marriage), Victor (Lyn), and Dewayne Martinez; grandchildren(Victor's children), Joey (Amanda) Martinez and their 4 kids, Michael (Robin) Martinez and their two kids, Bobby (Megan) Zieman and their three kids, Kimie (Nick) Zieman and one son, Lynzi, and Marcus Martinez; and grandchildren (Dewayne's children), Johnny Lee (Kalie), from Abileen, Texas and their 3 children, Adrien (Heather) Martinez and their 5 Children, Austin Martinez, Andre, and Daiyne; 19 great-grandchildren, Adrionna, Jayden, Aaliayah, Destini, Mackenzie, Maddi, Alyx, Haylie, Ayden, Dominik, Izaiah, Sophi, Daveiana, Aleyna, Liam Michael, Briella, Liam Cruz, and Ezra; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers, Louie and Robert Martinez; and sister, Barbara Moreno.

He's preceded in death by his wife, Sally Martinez; father, Ramon Martinez; mother, Azucena Vigil; and step-father, Lenore Vigil, sisters, Barbara (Agustine) Palerme, Josie (Mike) Torres; sisters-in-law, Virginia (Louie) Martinez, and Marie (Robert) Martinez.
