At her request no formal services will be held for Alberta Riley, 91, who passed away December 25, 2013, at Shepherd of the Valley Health Care Community.
Alberta was born November 10, 1922, in Casper, Wyoming, the daughter of Albert and Gladys (Crouse) Huffard. She spent her childhood on the family ranch in Bates Hole. She attended school at Red Creek, St. Anthony (Casper), St. Martins (Sturgis, South Dakota) and graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, Nebraska.
On May 1, 1946, she married Ray E. Riley. They worked on numerous ranches in the Bates Hole area and later purchased a ranch in the Willow Creek area. They remained on the ranch until their retirement.
She loved riding horses, country dances, going for car rides in the country and music. Her greatest love of all was her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband (Ray) and two sisters (Agnes Hayman) and (Frances Amundson).
Survivors include one sister (Margaret Bagley), along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place.
