GLENROCK -- Graveside services for Evansville resident, Albert 'Shorty' Gene Stewart, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2008, in Glenrock Cemetery.
He died August 18, 2008 at the Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born on Dec. 23, 1927, in Stuart, Neb., to Lloyd Stewart and Daisy.
After serving in the U.S. Army he settled in Glenrock and married Lelia Green.
Together they had five children.
He worked as a painter/carpenter in commercial construction all his life.
He was a member of the VFW.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his children Thomas Stewart of Glenrock, Ella Murray of Paradise, Calif., Gail Kelling and Carol Piwonski both of La Salle Ill., and Tammy of Marseilles, Ill.; brothers, Jeff Stewart and Rex Stewart both of Glenrock, and Jack Stewart of Douglas, sisters, Doris, Donna, and Cook all of Glenrock, and Irene of Casper; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharron and five brothers.
Newcomer Family Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
