Alan (Al) Simmons died Saturday, October 23 in Casper following a long illness. He was born November 12, 1936 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Carl and Sarah Simmons. His father was employed by an Oil Company and his Mother was a Teacher. For a short time his family lived in San Francisco, moving to Casper in 1944. He attended schools here, graduating from NCHS in 1955. After 2 years serving in the Army he worked for Pacific Power and Light Co. for 40 years, starting as a lineman and retiring as a foreman. He married Carole Anderson in Casper in 1963. They have one daughter, Teresa Dragovich, in Virginia. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was also a member of the Eagles. Al was very devoted to his wife, daughter and grandchildren. Al, Carole and Teresa loved to go camping, boating, hunting and fishing. Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Carole, his daughter, Teresa Dragovich, and a sister, Jo Klocksiem, of Greeley, Co. He is survived by two grandchildren, Alaric and Katya Dragovich and numerous nieces and nephews.
