Memorial services for Aubrey R. "Okie" Lynch will be held June 5th, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Evansville. Aubrey passed away May 26, 2013, at Central Wyoming Hospice Center with family by his side. He was 83.

Born April 18, 1930, in Mangum, Okla., he was the son of Ora C. and H. Huanital Luker Lynch. Okie graduated from Centralvue High School and attended Mangum Junior College. An avid baseball fan, Okie was a member of the St. Louis Cardinals Farm League Baseball team from 1947-1949. He left the program when his mother became ill to help earn money to cover her medical bills.
He met and married Deanna L. Scott in 1988 and added 3 more daughters to the family.

After being discharged from the service, Okie went to work in the oilfield where he made a life-long career. After working up the ranks and learning much, he retired as a oilfield consultant in2005 after more than 50 years in the industry.

Okie is survived by his wife of 24 years, Deanna, 2 sons, Patrick (Carol) of Huston, Texas, and and Peter of Oklahoma City, Okla., 3 daughters, Jana (Terry) White of Nashville, Tenn., Lyla (Bryan) Harmon of Casper, and Tami (Kent) Wilcox of Adel, Iowa, 2 brothers, Birl of Dubois, and Kenneth of Lander, 2 sisters, Lara Edwards of Seal Beach, Calif., and Donna Joyce Becker of Houston, Texas, 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Peggy, his daughter, Pam, and 2 grandsons.

Military Honors will be by Natrona United Veteran Council and Wyoming National Guard.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Wyoming Hospice Center or Meals on Wheels.
