FUNERAL SERVICE: A funeral service will be held on January 19, 2012 at The Church of Christ of Latter Day Saints 3931 W. 45th Street Casper WY 82604 at 11:00 AM with a visitation prior to service at 10:00 AM.
Shelia Swasey Hansen passed away at home with her family present on Saturday January 14, 2012.
Shelia is survived by husband, Gary William Hansen, daughters Karen Hendricks (William R. Hendricks), Peggy Alexander and son Gary William Hansen Jr., all of Casper, Wyoming.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Annette Smith (Ken Smith), Leah Planinz (Nick Planinz), Miranda Alexander (Kristopher Harrison), Seth Alexander (Emily Alexander), Christopher Hendricks, Aaron Hendricks, Jamie Hansen, Danielle Alexander, T.J. Hansen, Kori Alexander. Great Grandchildren are Kyler Smith, Bridgette Smith, Jacob Smith, Sydney, Ashlynn Smith, Cooper Planinz, Alexzander Harley, Asher Planinz, and Brenton Hendricks.
Shelia is survived by her siblings Ireata Hansen, Vernon Swasey, Clyde Swasey, and Charlene Neilson.
Preceded in death by parents Mercy LaVon (Rowe) Swasey and Floyd Edward Swasey and siblings Florin Swasey, Joyce Swasey Pay, Elray Swasey
Shelia was born January 8, 1941 in Payson Utah, lived and grew up in Mona Utah.
Graduated from Juab High School, Nephi Utah, Class of 1959
Married Gary William Hansen December 19th, 1959 In Nephi Utah
Gary and Shelia were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on March 29, 1968, their children were also sealed to them at that time for time and all eternity.
She was passionate in her love for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and working in the Primary with children and also any other calling she was called to.
She loved quilting, she spent hours on hours quilting for her children, grandchildren and humanitarian projects.
Many thanks to those with Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions for their loving care of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister-in-law. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in her name to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions, 319 South Wilson Street, Casper, Wyoming 82601.
