Lowell Thomas Brehmer

May 18, 1947 — June 28, 2024

Lowell Thomas Brehmer, 77, passed on June 28, 2024. He was born to Aaron Gustave and Lola (Ward) Brehmer on May 18, 1947, in Bridgeport, NE. Lowell married his high-school love Betty Arlene Johnson on February 13, 1965. They had two sons, Tracy and Ronald and lived in Scottsbluff, NE until Lowell joined the Navy in 1967. He served as a Corpsman in the Navy. From there they moved from base to base until his retirement from the service. Lowell then brought Betty and the boys to Wyoming to work in the oilfield in the late 1970’s and settled in Casper. A few short years later, their third son, Laurn Scott was born in 1980. He continued the use of his medical training in the Navy in many career paths while also pursuing a degree in computer science and American Sign Language.

Lowell and Betty found their family in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Lowell spent many years as a ministerial servant to his congregation and maintained his faith throughout the many hardships life brings and sought his peace and happiness in sharing his love of Jehovah with all who knew him. He was always ready to greet people with a smile, a quick whip of laughter or a joke. He will be remembered for his jocular demeanor, kind heart, and contagious smile.

Lowell is survived by his wife of sixty years, Betty, sons Tracy Brehmer and Ron (Leoma) Brehmer, brother Bill Brehmer, sisters Jodi Hendryx and Rosemary Worley, five grandchildren Trista Johnson, Renea Galloway, John Reyes, Jason Brehmer, Kylie Barrientez, and Caleb Brehmer, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his step-dad Stanley Naylor, brother Ed Brehmer, daughters-in law Lindy Brehmer and Teresa Brehmer, grandson Thomas Brehmer, and youngest son Scott Brehmer.

Lowell's Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 13th at 11:00 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1101 Wilkins Circle, Casper, WY 82601.
