Colleen B. Clear passed away at age 88 on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Casper, WY. Colleen was born in Sheridan, WY to Frank and Berdine "Benny" Collier. She graduated from Rawlins High School and studied Home Economics at the University of Wyoming. She loved her time as a Chi Omega (Psi Delta Chapter).
She met John R. Clear while working at the family owned Carbon County Creamery in Rawlins. It was love at first scoop and they married and moved to Riverton, WY. They lived in Riverton for 38 years before moving to Fleming Island, FL in 2001.
Her favorite jobs were as a teller at the bank and the Riverton Vision Center. She was very active in many clubs like Eastern Star, Sertoma, coffee club, bridge club, garden club, and art guild. She loved to bake and was famous for her sugar cookies. She loved spending time outdoors picking flowers and visiting with neighbors. Always ready with a friendly wave and a hello. She loved to travel and see new places.
Colleen was the quintessential mom, enjoying time with her 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 17 great grands.
She is preceded in death by her husband John and her daughter Cindy Clear Borchgrevink. She will be missed by many including her children Suzanne Schatza, Stacey Clear, and Craig Clear; grandchildren, Denise Schneider, Deidra Cottenoir, Drew Schatza, Derek Schatza, Jason Borchrevink, Erin Cundy and Ethan Clear. The family is grateful for condolences. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
