Walt Wilcox

Clarence (Walt) Wilcox was Born in Casper, Wyoming on November 13, 1940.

He passed peacefully at his Casper home on Horseshoe Road on May 21, 2024 at 83 years of age.

Walt grew up in Casper Wyoming. As a youth, he worked as a ranch hand in Kaycee and Wheatland and as a laborer for Casper Iron & Metal. He worked for numerous drilling and oilfield companies and also as janitor, laborer and machinist foreman. He was the creator and owner of Casper Valve Repair and Exchange. He committed 45 plus years as founder and self-employed owner as he taught himself and learned to service pneumatic air control valves from reading manuals and doing it 'hands-on'. Walt ran the business until about 2011.

His interests were:
* drinking coffee & socializing
* property management (building, irrigation, haying, fencing & planting trees)
* rebuilding cars (restoring & painting) & driving new trucks
* fishing, especially ‘creek fishing’ & camping
* motorized toys (motorcycling, snowmobiling & tractoring)
* anything with horses & raising farm animals (many dogs, cattle, swine, chickens, ducks, geese & turkeys)
* gambling trips & hitting jackpots
* all types of a man’s jewelry ‘bling’ (gold/diamonds/jade preferred) & his boots

Some of his proudest moments were discussed by him as:
* establishing his self-employed business called Casper Valve Repair & Exchange
* homesteading his property and constructing all buildings personally with his family
* the success of his children

Walt is survived by his wife, Lisa, his sons, Walter and Tim, his step-children, Christie, Rebecka, and Bryan, and 17 grandchildren. Walt had 2 brothers and 3 sisters, and was preceded in death by his parents Helen & Clarence (Buster) Wilcox from Casper, WY.

Walt will most be remembered by his …
* Love, toughness, stubbornness, sense of humor and orneriness, speaking his mind, never afraid to work as hard and long as it took to get the job done, his fancy shiny new trucks, gold and diamond 'bling', his cowboy boots, love and skill for gambling, and his smile of genuine happiness.

Services for Walt will be held at Newcomer’s Funeral Home at 1pm on May 30, 2024 with a committal service to follow at Wyoming Memorial Gardens.

A Reception at Hayden’s Place, 5038 W Lafayette St in Mills will follow his committal service.
