Martha Rita Coss Carrasco

February 23, 1957 — March 15, 2024

Martha Rita Coss Carrasco, 67, of Casper, passed away Friday March 15, 2024

She was born to Paula Carrasco and Emilio Coss on February 23, 1957 in Col. Nicolas Bravo Chihuahua, Mexico. Later on married Lidio Muñoz and moved to a different town, San Buenaventura, where she became a mother. Later in 2001 she moved with her family to the U.S.

Martha was a devoted Catholic that participated at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with her sister Florinda and both participated in every prayer group, retreat, choir and ministry the church offered, contributing to grow the hispanic community. She enjoyed traveling mostly with her other sister Mariaelena and learning about new places, she loved nature and everything about it. Plants, flowers, trees, mountains and even though she had no pets of her own was an animal lover.

An example of love and forgiveness, she never held grudges, went wherever she was invited to and made friends with everyone she met. She engrained certain words that only made us think of her, "chica", "bendecido" and "que chulas". She was a positive person who never complained, not even during the process of her sickness.

Martha is survived by her father Emilio Coss and three children Carlos Benicio Muñoz, Lidia Aglael Muñoz and Josué Muñoz, her five grandchildren Jiancarlos, Josue, Arleth, Israel, Morelia and her seven siblings Rafael Coss, Emilio Coss, Mariaelena Hermosillo, Florinda Sanchez, Mini Coss, Myrna Hernandez and Jesús Coss.

She is preceded in death by her mother Paula Carrasco Coss and grandparents Jesús Carrasco, Rafaela Manríquez, Roberto Coss and Melquiades Armenta.

Martha has left us a legacy to follow, which is to love and most importantly forgive.

A viewing will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home Monday March 25th at 2 pm to 5 pm. Tuesday 10 am to 12 pm viewing, Mass at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 12:30 pm followed by burial at Highland Cemetery.
