Proverbs 11:25 A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.
Barbara Lucille Bougher was born on November 25th, 1933, to the late Ella and Carl Bugher in Buffalo, Wyoming. Barbara's siblings are the late Evelyn Barbula, Dorothy Horsley, CoraLee (Corky) Bailey, and survived siblings are Dick McVay, Sandy McVay, and Lorraine Shaw. Mom to the late sons Randy Crouse, Skip Crouse, and survived by daughter Constance Gilbert. Grams to the late Justin Reed, and survived by Forrest and Kate Gilbert, Brandie Lee Brocato, Amy Gilbert, Brandon Crouse, and Chelsie and Nathan Stack. Great-grandmother to Kai Gilbert, Seth Gilbert, Tyrion Stack, and Rory Stack, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Barbara, from Buffalo, Wyoming, fondly looked back on her summers at the family homestead, cherishing the precious memories made with loved ones. Barbara was married twice, to Walter Crouse, whom she had three beautiful children with and then to Frank Reed for five years, who was a big part of her life. She attended Sheridan College and received her LPN and then her RN degree at Casper College. As a nurse of 25 years at Wyoming Medical Center and a traveling nurse at Yuma Regional Medical Center in AZ, her career was admirable and rewarding. Barbara had six grandchildren that she loved with her whole heart. Her favorite activities included traveling, particularly road trips to visit her family in Sheridan, Gillette, Reno, Branson, Shreveport, and San Diego, and even a covered wagon ride through the Oregon Trail in Wyoming. Spending time with her family and our special times out at the lake was her therapy. She found joy in reading newspapers, romance novels, and various other types of literature. She also enjoyed watching football, going to casinos and Walmart, and had a passion for food, music, and watercolor painting.
She had the most nurturing and big heart and touched an incredible amount of lives. She was intelligent, feisty, fierce, funny, charismatic, and compassionate. The one thing that she would want to leave us with is that she loves us dearly.
Memorial services are to be held this Saturday, February 10th, 2024, 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church at 302 East 2nd Street, Casper Wyoming, 82601. Proceeding the service, the reception will be at the residence of Connie Gilbert at 1001 Country Club Road, Casper Wyoming, 82609.
