Joseph Ted Kountz

Joseph Ted Kountz (Joey) was released from the bounds of this earth into the loving embrace of his heavenly father on June 8, 2023. Joe is at peace and being enfolded in the arms of his God.

Joseph was born in Casper, Wyoming, on April 4, 1981, to James Dennis Kountz and Helen Ann Schmidt-Ketchum. He joined his brother, Darrrin, sister, Cheri and sister, Sarah and the family was complete.

On April 30, 2011, while the snow was gently falling on Casper Mountain, Joseph married the love of his life, Catherine Eleanora Fay. Joe had no biological children but was very proud to be a step-father and step-grandfather to Cathy's children and grandchildren.

Joe was very artistic, enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and making his own music and loved the family pets (especially his two dogs Tyson and Two-Tone).

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy; his mother, Helen (Rick); his father, Jim (Sharilyn); his brother, Darrin (Kristi); his sister, Cheri (Jerry); his sister, Sarah (Aaron); and seven nieces and nephews, Michael, Taylor, Rachel, Jason, Kiersten, RaeLa and Kenzie. He is also survived by his step-daughters, Christina (James), Britani (Adam) and Andria (Jonathan); and step-grandchildren, Kareya, Caleb, Dakota, Abriana, Layne, Jensyn and Ayden.

Joe was preceded in death by three precious step-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Raydyn and Ryatt; his grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Joe's heritage was very important to him and he enjoyed researching his lineage.

Rest in peace Joey. We are awaiting the day when we can be together again.
