Terry L Madden, age 76, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away April 26,2023 at his home.
Terry was born May 2, 1946 in Great Falls, Montana to Angus and Lois (Valentine) Madden. Terry graduated from Bountiful High School in 1964. He met his wife Kathy (Hehn) Madden, in Milwaukee while attending a dance and dated for 5 months before he proposed. After he served a tour of duty in Vietnam, they got married at his family's home in Bountiful, Utah in June of 1969. He and Kathy welcomed first daughter, Wendy in July of 1973. They relocated to Casper, Wyoming in 1974. Their second daughter, Shelley joined their family in 1980. He served in the Navy from 1967 to 1974 and was honorably discharged. He was an EM Petty Officer First Class and also served as an instructor and master training specialist while in the Navy. He earned several awards during his tour of duty, a Second Good Conduct Award, Combat Action Ribbon, and Meritorious Unit Commendation. After his military he worked as a Journeymen and Master Electrican for numerous Electric Companies in Casper. He also taught classes at Casper College. He retired at 65, and enjoyed spending time building models, oil painting, and his love for trains. He enjoyed going to Perkins every Monday, and going to see the newest action movies. He loved his wife passionately, as was extremely proud of both daughters. Spending time with his daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren were his most cherished moments. He was the pillar of strength in the family. He instilled into his daughters the qualities of kindness and service to others in life. He will truly be missed by all. Especially his cat Max, whom he loved dearly and his faithful companion for the last 6 years.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kathy. He is survived by his daughters, Wendy (Travis)McKinney, Shelley (Josh) Maher, grandchildren, Amanda, Chloe, Benjamin, and Eevee; brother Verne(Ann) Madden; sister Susan Madden, brother Tim (April) Madden and his cat Max.
Funeral Services will begin Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 10 o'clock at the NewComer Funeral Home. Following Burial with full military honors at Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery, Evansville. Terry's service will be livestreamed at the scheduled service time.
