Vickie K. Jasmann

September 5, 1949 — October 2, 2022

Vickie K. Jasmann passed away October 2, 2022. She was born September 5, 1949, in Casper, Wyoming, to Hubert and Jacqueline (Dodds) Jasmann.

After graduating from Natrona County High School, class of '67, she embarked on a journey across the country to begin her service to the United States in the U.S. Marine Corps. Oorah! Upon returning to Casper after her last tour in Japan, she enlisted in the Wyoming National Guard, although she was living proof of "Once a Marine, Always a Marine."

Vickie's service to the people of Casper and Wyoming continued by her employment with the State of Wyoming and the City of Casper ice rink and softball fields.

A faithful servant to her church, she held positions of Sr. Warden, vestry member, Sunday school director, altar guilt, Outreach, organizer and head coach of a co-ed softball team, winner of bring a friend to church on Sunday, and everything else she was asked to do. If you didn't run from her when you saw her coming, you'd find yourself on the same committee. An exciting time for her was meeting and getting her picture taken on two occasions with Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry.

Showing her love for children, she opened her arms and home to provide a safe, structured, and loving home to over 200 foster children in our community. She felt blessed when she was able to adopt one of them, Cheryl.

Always selfless she gave her time to fundraising for American Cancer Society and Relay for Life, volunteering for Help for the Homeless Veterans, giving rides for friends to appointments and to the Senior Center. Her many contributions to our community were recognized by awarding her the Jefferson Award for the state of Wyoming in 2018.

She loved going to the movies with her friends; playing games; bowling; cheering on the Broncos, Rockies, and Av's; quilting; crafting; and spoiling all of her dogs. One of Vickie's favorite hangouts was the Casper Senior Center, where you would find her line dancing, clogging, crafting, having lunch with friends and the Class of '67, or performing in plays with the Red Dog Players. She enjoyed anything that brought her together with family and friends.

Vickie was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Jackie; and her baby brother, Gary Dale.

Vickie is survived by her two sisters, Connie Johnson of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Bobbette (Matthew Gross) Jasmann, of Casper, Wyoming; daughter Cheryl (Eddie) Aispuro of Rifle, Colorado; grandchildren Ryan and Riley Clark of Grand Junction, Colorado; niece Tami Bevacqua; and great nieces and nephew, Jessica, Justin, and Alissa.

A Celebration of Life with military honors will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, with a reception to follow at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wyoming Foundation for Cancer Care, Casper Senior Center, or a charity of your choice.
